Toilets & Bidets
Toilets

Toilets come in 1 piece models and 2 piece models. 2 piece models have been industry standards for many years. With the advent of newer technology and European influence, many manufacturers are introducing 1 piece models. Benefits to the 1 piece models are that they are easier to clean, and they have a more compact, sleek design.
Toilets are offered in round front and elongated shaped bowls. Round fronts work great in small spaces, while elongated bowls are more elegant and provide a larger seating area. Many people now prefer the elongated bowls.
Bowl heights can vary with 14"-17". The bowls on comfort height toilets range from 16.5"-17" in height. This is perfect for tall people, elderly & disabled since it provides more comfort and ease of use. Wall mounted toilets are space saving AND are customizable to be whatever height you desire.
Flushing styles:
Pressure assisted, where there is an internal tank that creates pressure from the incoming water that assists with the removing waste/elimination of water from the bowl to the sewer/septic system.
Gravity is the standard toilet that we've known for many years. Water comes into the tank and uses gravity to get the pressure needed to remove waste from the bowl.
Dual flush is a toilet with 2 buttons, one designated for solid waste and one for liquid waste. The solid waste button is 1.6 gpf or 1.28 gpf depending on manufacturer and the liquid waste as low as .9 gpf.
Current standards require a toilet flushing no more than 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf). 1.28 gpf will be the new required gallons per flush as technology has improved in recent years allowing less water to be used without giving up really excellent flushing without clogging issues.
It may seem difficult to imagine only requiring 1.28 gpf – however technology has improved significantly over recent years. Many brands like Inax and Toto offer incredible toilets that do a better job taking the waste than their 1.6 competitive toilet brands. It has to do with the innards of the toilet and how the flushing mechanisms work. If you have questions, contact us. We can even give you referrals of happy customers who had major problems with low flow toilets that went to an even lower flow toilet only to have the prior problems disappear.
Residential settings can utilize toilets that have even lower gallons per flush – less than 1 gallon per flush. This is not for everyone. However, it is for many. Come and talk to us about whether it will work for you.

Bidet Seats:
Bidet seats are becoming more popular. These can be bolted on to most existing toilets to transform your toilet into a pampered experience.
Bidet seats bring the highest standard of cleanliness and convenience for everyday personal care. The seats and water are heated for your comfort. The user can control the temperature of the seat and water pressure for a simple, effective, and refreshing experience. Since bidet seats are more hygienic, less toilet paper is needed. This is good for your pocket book and the environment. They also allow anyone with a physical challenge to independently care for themselves. Most high end bidet seats have an integrated dryer and deodorizer function, as well as automatic and closing features.
Integrated toilets have the very latest in technologies and are contained within the low silhouette of this style. Innovated comfort and design, the integrated toilets include all of the fully automated features mentioned above including music that you can customize by downloading media on a removable memory card. Remote controls further the convenience by giving you all of the controls to customize the features built in.
