The flip-side is that you would do well to incorporate more fresh raw fruits and vegetables into your diet to compensate for the removal of minerals from the water.

Reverse Osmosis is often utilized in environments where a water softener has been installed and Reverse Osmosis is the only way to effectively remove the salt from the water and make it drinkable.

Reverse Osmosis filtration systems are installed under the cabinet and have a 3 gallon storage tank (it's a fair size) and a series of membranes/filters housed efficiently which don't take much space. Membranes/filters are generally replaced annually (depending on water source and usage/consumption).
